I'm from Oshkosh, Wisconsin. I currently work as the character design supervisor on Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. I recently finished work at Nickelodeon as a designer and board artist on Danny Phantom. I own the copyrights on this stuff, (unless otherwise noted), so don't steal or copy it. Word-up.

More Phantom Title Cards
Hello everyone! On top of being a board artist and character designer on Danny Phantom, I also got the opportunity to design all the title cards for the show. One of my favorite parts of the job was designing the logo for each episode. I can't take credit for the brilliant coloring, however. I would only submit the line drawing and that would be colored by Honore Gauthier, George Taylor, Bob Boyle, and George Goodchild. (I think these were all colored by George Taylor.) Another great color artist on the show was Kaz Aizawa who now has a blog. Click on his name to see his stuff.
wow these images are glorious! Looks like you have fun when you work, which is what I hope I can find.
ReplyDeleteBenny remember when Disney gave you carte blanche to pick which department you could work in? You picked well. Lookit where you are now.

ReplyDeleteThanks everyone!
ReplyDeleteTeddy- "Carte Blanche?" I remember that carrot being dangled on a very long "Clean-up" stick.
Chris- The first image was drawn on my Cintiq screen in Sketchbook Pro. (Just using the normal pencil tool). This would then be sent to the clean up crew which would be vectorized in Illustrator. The colored images are examples of the illustrator clean up, (by Ray Leong).
Oh ok, I'm seeing it now. They really look great! How can one go about getting a clean up crew? =)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ben,
Chris

ReplyDeleteI really like these. I esspecially like "Masters of All Time" It reminds me slightly of old 1950's horror movies. I think it's because of the typography. I love all of them though.
